In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
This car has a brake. The brake seems to contradict the very purpose of the car—after all, it’s called a car because it moves. Yet the brake is no less important than the engine.
Calamities bring people back to Allah.
The engine is for movement, and the brake is for safety. Is that clear? Calamities are like brakes. When a person goes astray, sometimes Allah sends him the shadow of a calamity. If he is deeply connected to Allah, even the shadow of a calamity is enough to understand. At other times, Allah sends an actual calamity, and that calamity brings him back to Allah Almighty.
